MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs variety of complexity in cleaning processes. Demonstrates proficiency related to daily service, check-out, deep cleaning and special project cleaning assignments based on Lodging program cleaning standards. Maintains cleanliness in assigned office spaces, halls, private quarters and public areas. Dusts, polishes, cleans, moves furniture, makes beds, and changes linens. Cleans and disinfects bathrooms. Cleans floors and vacuums carpet using industrial-type equipment. Uses various cleaning solutions and chemicals to remove stains. Washes windows and screens. Performs deep cleaning duties as required. Coordinates supplies and distribution. May perform grounds maintenance tasks around the facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and common chemicals used in cleaning. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing with management, staff and guests. Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical labor as unassisted lifting, moving and carrying of supplies and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds is required. Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. May be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime including emergency basis.  May be required to possess valid state driver license. Applicants will be notified when this is a requirement for appointment.

First Year Retention Incentive:

90-day

$500 + 8 hour Time-Off Award

 

First Year Retention Incentive:

Six months

$500 + 8 hour Time-Off Award

 

First Year Retention Incentive:

Twelve Months

$750 + 8 hour Time-Off Award

 

 

OTHER INFORMATION:

A selection may be made from the resumes/applications received at the first cut-off date.  Some positions have special requirements.  Selection may be tentative pending the completion of the satisfactory employment reference checks and receipt of proof of education (where applicable).  Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.  Salary is commensurate with experience and/or education.
