Sleeping Giant Nounou Trail Hike

Beginning at the east side of the mountain commonly referred to as “Sleeping Giant” the Nounou trail climbs to a peak and sheltered picnic area. This vantage offers views of the ocean, Wailua River and Mt. Waialeale.
No water. No facilities.
Difficulty level: Moderate.
Length: 3.5 mile round trip hike. Trail steadily climbs for nearly 1,000 feet through forest.
Wear appropriate footwear; bring your sunscreen and a picnic lunch. Follow up the hike with a refreshing swim at Lydgate Park.
