Be a Judge in our chili and pie contests!
Pre-purchase your tasting ticket to be part of the fun! Each ticket includes a sample of every chili and pie entry. After judging, you’ll receive a bowl of Shenanigans’ signature Chili and two sides: choice of rice, cornbread, or garlic breadstick.

Be a Chili cook-off and/or Pie bake-off contestant!
To ensure a fair and fun competition, all entries will be part of a blind taste test. MWR staff will handle all plating and serving.
General Rules for ALL Contestants:
• All contestants must pre-register by October 8
• Only homemade chili and pies are allowed, no store-bought chili or pies.
• All entries must be delivered fully prepared to the site (Basketball Courts) by 3:30 p.m.
• No identifying labels, MWR will assign entry numbers and serve all dishes.
• Contestants must provide a printed list of ingredients & heat/spice level upon drop-off for allergy awareness.
Ingredients Provided by MWR:
• MWR will provide up to 4 pounds of protein for chili contestants.
• Pie Contestants may request one portion of pie filling, either canned or fresh.
• Contestants are responsible for all other ingredients, including seasoning, crusts, and additional components.
• These ingredients will be available for pickup at BLDG 1262 on October 1
Chili cook-off Requirements:
• Deliver pre-heated, maintained at 140 degree F chili in heat-safe container to the event site (Basketball Court) by 3:30 p.m.
• Prepare a minimum of 1.5 gallons to allow for judging and ticket holder samples.
• Optional garnishes must be submitted separately and will be served by staff if included.
Pie Bake-off Requirements:
• Submit at least two whole pies to ensure enough for judging and sampling to the event site (Basketball Court) by 3:30 p.m.
• All pies must be sliced and served by MWR staff, no identifying marks or containers will be shown.
• Cold pies must be chilled and hot pies must be kept warm, if applicable.
