Lifeguard Certification Class

This course focuses training on water safety, rescue skills, first aid and professional CPR and AED. Entry level participants will gain the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. Participants will also be learning how to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries or sudden illnesses until EMS personnel arrive. 

*Ages 15 years+


- Swim 300 yards continuously
- Tread water for 2 minutes, only using legs
- Complete a times event within 1 minute, 40 seconds (Start in the water and swim 20 yards out, dive to depth of 7-10 feet and retrieve a 10 pound object, then return to the surface and swim 20 yards back to the starting point. Must also exit pool without using a ladder or steps.)

*All class participants must have access to a computer. 


Potential participants can register starting March 4th. The class fee is $70.00.
